Cane River Green Market end of the summer season celebration

NATCHITOCHES – Cane River Green Market, Natchitoches’ local farmers market, will end the 2010 summer season on July 31 from 8 a.m. to noon on the downtown riverbank.

The farmers market will have live music by The Back Porch Band from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Back Porch Band plays traditional Celtic and folk music.

Market attendees can also enjoy a kid’s inflatable jumper, face painting and discounted market merchandise such as t-shirts and koozies. Mighty Max Superdogs will also be onsite Saturday.

Besides fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs, customers can choose from a selection of “value-added products” including farm fresh eggs, homemade breads, jams, jellies, pickles, honey and much more. Craft vendors will have handmade items such as woodwork, furniture, jewelry and art work.

Cane River Green Market vendors accept Senior FMNP coupons and WIC FMNP Pilot vouchers for fruits, vegetables and herbs.
