Cane River Green Market hosts Sci-Port and children’s artists

NATCHITOCHES – Cane River Green Market, Natchitoches’ local farmers market, will continue its 2010 season on July 24 from 8 a.m. to noon on the downtown riverbank.

Sci-Port, Louisiana’s Science Center will be at the market this Saturday offering a program on plants and gardening. These hands-on educational activities for children are free to the public and will take place at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Rapides Library Carnival hosted by the Tween Advisory Group (TAG)

On Saturday, July 24, 2010, there will be a carnival hosted by the Rapides Library Tween Advisory Group (TAG), ages 10-13 years old. Their purpose is to give the proceeds to the Rapides Parish Homeless Education Program to assist them to buy school uniforms and supplies for students who need it. There are more than 700 homeless students who are registered in Rapides Parish.

History of Toilet Paper!

Guest presenter, BJ Collins, is coming in to the TREE House to share with us the fascinating history of toilet paper! July 24, 2010 @ 2p.m. General admission is $4.00/ person, kids under 2 get in FREE!
