The Tree House Children's Museum is hosting a Space Camp July 7-10th from 9a-12p each day. Participants will be doing many fun activities such as making their own space suits, launching astronaut eggs, making & launching rockets, eating freeze-dried foods and learning about what it takes to become an astronaut.

Seminar will be held at Pine Forest Martial Arts, 2963 Hwy 28 East (Garden District Shopping Center) in Pineville.

This event is open only to women. $30 per person.

Gary Moore is the former Police Chief of the Alexandria Police Department and is currently with the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office as a Warden of one of their facilities.

Gary is in M.D. Anderson in Houston suffering with brain cancer. The following information is about the fundraiser, proceeds to help with medical needs.

There will be a Jambalaya Dinner on Friday, July 31 from 11a-1p. The plates are $6.00 each and may be picked up at the old Sally's grocery on Jackson St and the RPSO warehouse of John Alison Drive (behind Coca Cola) Hwy 28 W.
